PUBLICATIONS

A range of products have been published based on the findings of the Western Australian Aboriginal Child Health Survey (WAACHS). There are four main volumes of survey findings (see below). A summary booklet has been produced for each of these volumes. There are also separate regional profiles for each of the volumes in each of the 9 regions. In addition, there are technical papers and other resources.

The four main volumes are as follows:

Volume 1 describes the physical health of Aboriginal children and young people and was officially launched on 3 June 2004.

Volume 2 focuses on the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people and was officially launched on 13 April 2005.

Volume 3 examines the educational experiences of Aboriginal children and young people and was officially launched on 24 March 2006.

Volume 4 examines the role of families and communities in supporting the healthy development of Aboriginal children and young people. This volume was officially launched on 22 November 2006.

A technical paper has been produced and deals with measuring the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal children and intergenerational effects of forced separation.
