On 19 March 2011, a group of dedicated Perth and Sydney cyclists will set off on a month long bike ride across the country to raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis research.
Jason Morris, founder of the Today for Tomorrow Foundation, and friend, Scott Nestorovic, are organising the bike ride from Perth to Sydney and the Telethon Institute will benefit from the amazing efforts of the riders. Jason set up the Today for Tomorrow Foundation to support cystic fibrosis research when his child was born with the disease two years ago.
Jason, Scott and a team of riders will complete varying legs of the massive 4153km journey from Fremantle to Cambelltown in New South Wales. Riders will undertake intensive training over the coming months in preparation and will be accompanied by a large support team from Perth and Sydney on their journey. The riders will seek individual sponsorship for their cycling efforts in order to raise fund for CF research.
Scott recently came to the Institute for a tour, along with two members of the cycling and support team, Nic Roe and James Whincup. They met with CF researcher, Catherine Gangell, to learn more about how their fundraising initiative will be helping our research.
Thank you to Jason, Scott and their team for helping us find the answers to cystic fibrosis.
