Cancer Leukaemia is the most common cancer affecting children. Advances in treatment have improved survival rates to around 80 per cent which means the prospects for children with this devastating disease are much more positive. However, some children do relapse making our cancer research into the prevention of the disease, all the more important. Because no child should have to suffer.

We are working hard to better understand childhood brain tumours so that we can improve survival rates for children and hopefully prevent them from occurring. Read more>> Nowhere else in the world are the skin cancer rates higher than here in Australia. We are looking at how ultraviolet light interacts with the immune system to see if we can treat and prevent skin cancer. Read more>>
