One of the key aims of the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research is effective advocacy for research and to improve the health and well-being of all children. Therefore the Institute welcomes and encourages news media interest in our programs. We are committed to ensuring that research findings are translated into therapies, policies and programs to make a real difference in the lives children and their families.

The Institute’s principal spokesperson is the Director, Professor Fiona Stanley AC, 2003 Australian of the Year. The Institute also has a number of senior researchers who are able to offer expert comment on a range of health and childrens’ issues.
