Visitor Information
Visiting Researchers are welcome at the Institute with agreement from the Scientific Head’s of Division.  This adds to the Institute’s stimulating environment as well as offering to the visitor the wonderful lifestyle opportunities in Perth and Western Australia. The added bonus of fantastic weather and the ease of travel make this a fabulous place to visit.

 

Institute Policy and Procedures for the Resolution of Grievances
This policy and procedure was developed and implemented in 2004. The Institute has appointed Equity Contact Officers (ECO’s) whose role is to provide advice on the procedures to staff and students as needed. The appointment of the inaugural ECO’s is coming to an end, which will provide the Institute with an opportunity to review the policy and procedure and assess their effectiveness.

 

External Counselling Facilities
The Institute recognises that both staff and students may experience difficulties in their lives that may affect their motivation for work and their work performance. A subscription to an Employee Assistance Program, through an external counselling organisation, offers staff and students the ability to access counselling and assistance both confidentially and free of charge.
